•The obvious harm is done to the individual abusing the drugs.
•However, the family members may also be harmed, not physically, but emotionally and financially.
•Money used to buy drugs is taken from the family. Meaningful inaction with the abuser may be lost.
•There may be physical harm if the abuser is out of control.
•The abuser may resort to committing crimes, such as property crimes, to support the habit.
•If the abuser is arrested for those crimes, there is the loss of the relationship
