Can SMS message be password protected?

Similar to Documents password protection, could it enhance security?

Example :

Person A sends SMS message to Person B. While composing a message to Person B he/She adds password and sends SMS message to Person B.

Person B receives the SMS message from Person A but cannot read the SMS message from Person A unless & until Person B enters the password to retrieve the SMS message.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi prashantakerkar,

You can download apps that'll protect your SMS inbox. I can see the purpose behind something like this, as it adds an extra layer of protection. However, if you need a password to access your phone, and a password to access your secured inbox, a third layer is bit extra.

If you want something more secure, I'd suggest another means of delivering a message. Maybe an encrypted peer-to-peer message app like Whatsapp or BBM.

Thank you.

Do you feel a SMS spam filter can be built similar to email spam filter?

Thanks & Regards,
