https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrabble

Do you feel it is possible to design Scrabble board games for Man v/s Machine world championships similar to Chess?

Similar to Deep Blue v/s Gary Kasparov.

I mean Human Being will play against the Scrabble Word power computer program
in the Scrabble World championships games.

Thanks & Regards,
Prashant S Akerkar

Yes, and it's already been done. You can play scrabble online with a computer. There are also services that'll form words for you based on the letters you input. Hence, to answer your question, yes, it can be interfaced with a robot in real-time, much the same way they did with computer vs. human chess match.

On a side-note, are you any good at chess or scrabble?

Thank you.

I feel I am better at Chess than Scrabble but now do not have the relevant touch for playing.

So we can have Scrabble Word power World Championships games in future?

Man v/s Machine

Thanks & Regards,
Prashant S Akerkar

The Word power Scrabble game  Human v/s Machine World Championships can be also designed for Indian Regional Languages viz Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi and so on .... ?

I know in those languages the letters are connected - that could be a problem. In other words, unlike English where the letters individually spell out the word, in Hindi, depending where the letter is found in the word, it could look completely different than when written individually on a scrabble block

Thanks.

We have to seek Indian Regional linguistic experts for designing and constructing the Scrabble Machine program for the respective Indian Regional Languages ?

Example :

Bengali Linguistic expert v/s Bengali Scrabble Board computer program.

That isn't necessary. Personally, I don't think this game is suited for all languages. It works well for English, especially since English doesn't have any letters with accents or diacritic marks

Thanks.

Any Human language requires three different skill levels.

Reading, Writing (Written) & Speaking (Oral).

Do you feel a Human English linguistic expert will not be able to defeat Scrabble board computer program in World championship match?

I feel Gary Kasparov defeated Deep Blue Supercomputer in some World Chess championship matches?

So why not Human English Linguistic expert with Reading, Writing & Speaking Skills 10 / 10 will not be able to defeat Scrabble Computer program loaded in IBM's Deep Blue Machine?

Thanks & Regards,
