\(3\cdot \cos (x)=x+1\)

  • \(f\left(x\right)=3\cdot \cos (x)\)
  • \(g\left(x\right)=x+1\)

Graph them in one graph -- see attachment below

Notice, -1.86 and 0.89. You can use these as approximations to run the Newton's method.
