Is it possible to trace Ancestors / forefathers origin names ?

I mean

Great Great Great Great Great ........... Grandfather's first name from Father's side?

Example :

Prashant - Sadanand - Mahadeo - Chintaman - ? - ? - ?

My father's name is Sadanand. Sadanand's father name is Mahadeo. Mahadeo's father name is Chintaman. Chintaman's father name ? and so on for forefathers names ....

Is there any way of tracing ?.

Unless records have been kept, the names are lost forever. Personally, that's something I'd love to know myself, but knowing would only be for interest sake, and not serve any value otherwise.

The fact you know up tp 5 generations is incredible nonetheless.

The Guinness Book of World Records recognized the Confucius genealogical line as the longest family tree in history, with 86 recorded generations over 2,500 years. The Chinese philosopher (551 to 479 BCE) is thought to have 3 million descendants all over the world.

I would have to be passed down from one generation to the next. Written and recorded, and hopefully not lost. There isn't a technical way to it, unless your family is globally famous

Thank you.

We are in the 21st century.

Do you feel all families (ancestors) have originated from the 1st century?
Or
It is not necessary that they may have originated
from 1st century?

If not from 1st century, What could be the possible reasons?

Example : Jackson, Robinson, Trump, Bradman, Khan, Tendulkar, Singh etc

As far as we know, Homo sapiens evolved from a single common ancestor. They didn't evolve twice from two different ancestors found in 2 different places on the Earth. Therefore, we are all connected genetically, regardless of our physical traits.

Thanks.

Do you feel its a interesting research topic to trace every family's ancestor origin from a century taking assistance of the family members?

Meeting Donald Trump, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Welch, Mukesh Ambani ....

All families with Ancestor origin will be from different centuries?

Can you trace your ancestor origin century?

It doesn't seem like our ancestor origin originates from the 1st century?

One's genealogy holds the key to understanding our heredity. A record of past illnesses, photos or paintings, and names would certainly be an interesting conversation piece. As mentioned before, famous people are better documented than ordinary folks, namely those mentioned above. Like the monarchy in England, famous people beget famous people too, so it's easier to trace their family tree.

Can you trace your ancestor origin century?

Beyond 4 generations, a lot is lost in my family tree. Many of my ancestors were farmers, and were uneducated. I doubt they could read or write. That's a barrier not just for me but for most people in on Earth trying to trace their family's timeline.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Family_tree_of_British_monarchs

According to this article, 9th century is the furthest it goes. I'm not sure if there's information that leads to them to the 1st century, you may have to look into that...
