Calculate the turgor () within a leaf cell at night when the water potential () of the surrounding cell wall is –100 kPa and the osmotic pressure () of the solution within the cell is 500 kPa. [2 marks]

b.Calculate the turgor () of the same cell once transpiration has started the following day, when the osmotic pressure () remains stable, but the water potential () in the cell wall falls to –500 kPa. [2 marks]
