While playing chess with my son came with a interesting variation.

Can you share me your opinion regarding the same?

Variation
---------------

White & Black will alternatively make 1 and 2 moves turn by turn. i.e. When white has a 1 move to make, black has two moves, next time white will make 2 moves and Black will make 1 move and so on ....

I will illustrate this pattern below

White     Black

1                2
2                1
1                2
2                1
1                2
2                1

and so on ....

Is this a complex variation?

Thanks & Regards,

This doesn't allow the competitor to retaliate, making the game unfair. For example, I've beaten a person once in 4 moves, but in chess, Fool's Mate is when the checkmate is delivered after the fewest possible moves since the start of the game. It can be achieved only by Black, who can deliver checkmate on move 2 with the queen (citation). Not allowing the competitor to retaliate would give an unfair advantage, even if it means going in the order to 1,2,2,1 etc...

Thanks.

It will be difficult for the chess grandmasters to remember the number of moves to be made i.e. 1 & 2 alternatively since the opponent is going to make the number of moves which is different.

White Black
1            2
2            1
1             2
2            1

This may create a shorter version of the match?
