From the research I conducted:

Success rates at 1, 2, and 3 years were 92%, 82%, and 74%, respectively. Beck and Lynch12 reported the results of 360 suture trabeculotomy in primary congenital glaucoma in 26 eyes of 15 patients.

Are you optimistic, there were chances of surgery success in the initial childhood years (1-12) for Andrea suffering from congenital glaucoma at birth?

There is no treatment once cornea is/are damaged. Even eye donations, medicines do not work.

Isn' it?

Advanced Ultrasonography screening methods cannot detect congenital glaucoma done in 28 weeks & 32 weeks pregnancy?

Even if yes, its risky to give any treatment (medicine) to the expectant mother for treating congenital glaucoma?

I mean treating congential glaucoma in the fetal development stages.

I don't think conditions like these can be diagnosed during fetal development. The child needs to be born and subsequently display symptoms of the disease.

We should get the case papers of Andre from childhood (Birth, Sonography reports (Year 1957, Year 1958) and subsequent 1-12 years Congenital Glaucoma treatment - Surgical, Medicine etc)) for investigations.

Investigations regarding what,when,where & who did the surgical or medical treatment on Andre.

What : Surgical or/and Medicine treatment?

When : What age/s after birth the surgical and/or medicines were given?

Where : Which Hospital/s, Clinics
in Italy or any other country, state name,city name?

Who : Paediatric Doctor's names.

This will assist us in further investigations for his case.

As you rightly pointed, in Year 1958 when Andre was born, the surgical and/or medical treatments methods for congenital glaucoma were not maybe sophisticated or advanced.

We are in the 21st century era where medical treatments have advanced in every medicine field viz opthalmology, gynaecology, neurology, cardiology, pathology
vaccinology, orthopaedics, veterinary etc.

Andre has a beautiful voice. Have you heard his songs sung by him?
