John is the manager at the Deerfield Golf Course and would like to test the hypothesis that there is more variability in golf scores at the Pike Creek Golf Course, which is a competitor in the area, when compared to golf scores at his course. The following data summarizes the sample statistics for golf scores from both courses.

Test the hypothesis using α = 0.10.

Because F = 1.76 is more than Fα = 1.668, we reject the null hypothesis. We have enough evidence to conclude that there is more variability in golf scores at the Pike Creek Golf Course when compared to golf scores at the Deerfield Golf Course
