On what basis would you determine priority of curriculum goals?

The curriculum, to a large part, decides whether education is inclusive, and so plays a vital role in ensuring equal provision. It is the curriculum that offers the structure for the provision of quality learning, especially where teachers are under-qualified and inexperienced, classrooms are under-resourced, and students lack prior frameworks within which to locate their learning. It is the curriculum that articulates both the competencies required for lifelong learning and the competencies required for holistic development. As a result, we suggest that curriculum is at the intersection of four major features of SDG 4: education should be (1) inclusive and egalitarian, (2) defined by excellent learning, (3) fostering lifelong learning, and (4) relevant to holistic development.
