Difference between emulturation acculturation

1. Meaning - Emulturation is adopting and acquiring , the norms , values , beliefs etc. of a culture to become a part of that society , while acculturation means the transformation and modifications the cultural beliefs and customs of one's own culture by adopting the beliefs , values etc. of a different culture .

2. Familiarization - Emulturation , familiarize with the process of one culture , while acculturation familiarize with different cultures or one or two culture .

3. TRANSFORMATION - in Emulturation there is no modifications and transformation of existing cultural practices but acculturation modifies the existing cultural practices and leads to assimilation .

IMPORTANCE IN MARKETING -

Acculturation will be more important for marketers because -

1. It helps in understanding the consumers behavior patterns and lifestyle of different countries and cultures and help marketers to modify the product according to the needs of consumers.

2. Acculturation facilitate the international trade , between countries , as it helps to understand the beliefs , norms , values etc. of different people in different countries . Thus , it helps in international trade and producing the product or services accordingly

3. There are various instruments in Acculturation like Acculturation attitude SCALE , Behavioural Acculturation Scale etc which helps in measuring the degree to which the individuals assimilate into the host culture and helps in marketing goods and services
