What types of jobs exist that have flexible hours for those with other work that pays well and doesn't require additional college? I am middle aged and haven't found a livable income.

Hi CarbonRobot. Consider the following:

Supply teaching offers flexible hours, and a flexible work schedule. Daily teaching gigs can be fit into your morning and afternoon schedule, while still having enough energy to do other things when you get home. Of course, a lot of this depends on your education; a certified teacher must be college-educated to be qualified.

Tradespeople also can have flexible work schedules, e.g. electrician, plumber. These are excellent jobs that pay well enough to keep you on your feet.

Taxi driving or Uber requires nothing more than a drivers license. Again, it pays well for a "side-hustle". Once you build a decent clientele, you can even work off the grid getting paid cash.
