In the state of wonder, this comment from an old thread had me question a couple of things: https://imgur.com/kt9W7Ez

Quote
I knew someone who got sperm in the eye and it swelled up and turned red like a pink eye. The doctor said the sperm were trying to impregnate the cells in the eye

Is this true? If sperm is left on body parts other than vulva and vagina, will the body parts start swelling because the sperm "tries to impregnate" the cells in the area? What about the surfaces of inanimate objects? How would sperm react?

The first part is true, where the components making up the ejaculation can interact with the eye, causing red eye. But the second part is just fantasy, since the sperm wouldn't be able to survive past the protective measures of the eye, such as the lysozymes and salt making up liquid that lubricates the eyes.
