My mother has had a number of replacements of her feedtube, and only about 2/3 of the time does it last as long as it should. We are in ER currently to replace it again after 2 days since it just fell out. Nurse practitioner put it in 2 days ago I believe. Any doctors in here understand why a feedtube should come out after less than even a month? Poor inflation of the bubble? Acid burning away at its components? How do these things go wrong?
