At the end of April and the end of July I had sex with 2 different couples. They were both swingers and it was mainly the wife and I but the husband did join in. There was no homosexual acts. I went down on the wife back in April but not in July. I used a condom for vaginal sex both times. In both situation the wife gave us both oral switching back and forth.

In early Oct I went and got a full std check and the following came back clean. I also did an oral throat swab for Gonorrhea/Chlamydia and Strep (160 days after my first encounter that i went down on the wife and 60 days after the july exposure which I didnt go down on the wife) which also came back negative but that was before I started to get all this in my mouth.
160 days after April encounter and 60 Days after July encounter I tested (Blood/Urine) for the following which all came back negative expect Herps I which I know I already have:

 Chlamydia & Gonorrhea
Hepatitis A
Hepatitis B
Hepatitis C - Index: 0.11  (It needs to be over 1.00 to be positive)
Herpes I
Herpes II
HIV 1 & 2 Antibody (4th Gen)
Syphilis

I then retest again on Nov 2nd for the following which was also negative (Blood/Urine):
Chlamydia & Gonorrhea
Syphilis
 Trichomoniasis

Did I test too early for the swab? Or did i test too early for something else? What could this be?
Also have some white spots on the very back of my throat and going down that you cant see.

Looks like your herpes has flared up in your mouth.

160 days after April encounter and 60 Days

This is sufficient timing.

Have you tried gargling with salt water? You should do this regularly, and include a saline rinse of your nasal cavity daily.

Ok I will try that, thanks!

So this doesn’t look like gonerreha or Chlaymida? The white spots on the back near my tonsil worried me.

The red sores on the side of my tongue don’t hurt at all, doesn’t herpes 1 sores hurt?

Also would I test positive for gonerrhea or chlymadia even if it didn’t have any of these symptoms at time of swab?

Yes, it can hurt. To give you a sense of the pain, it's comparable to a cold sore on your lip (if you've ever had one).

Both of these diseases are caused by bacteria. When they do a blood test, they look for gonerrhea/chlymadia antibodies that are produced if white blood cells have made contact with the pathogen. Since the antibody wasn't detected, then it wouldn't be either.

Ya I have herpes 1 and have had those cold sores that hurt before! My worry is the ones on side of my tongue don’t hurt at all.

When they do the Oral gonrreha and chlymaida swab though do they look for bacteria or antibodies. I know they do a culture right and try  replicate the bacteria or something?

Was this flare-up present when you did the oral swab?

If yes, then the sores are not caused by bacteria.

If no, then did you have any new sexual encounters after the test? If no again, then the sores are not caused by bacteria. If yes, the test gives no meaningful results towards your current problem, and would need to be retested.

When they do a swab, they try growing the pathogen; when they do a blood test, they look for antibodies.

If it brings any comfort, most chlamydia causes occur on or within the sex organs, which excludes the mouth.

When they did the swab the sores were not present at day 60 of test. I had an itchy throat with some other cold and canker sores.

They swabbed the back of the throat and then a couple weeks later the sores on the tongue started.

I haven’t had any sexual contact since the test.

I guess my worry is the white spots on where my tonsils used to be and the back of my throat along with the itchiness and having the clear my throat all the time.

Like was the test wrong? or I tested to early? or she didn’t do a good swab?

Are you on any antibiotics or medication? Sometimes certain medicines can halt the good bacteria in your mouth from functioning, leading to white patches you described. Usually they subside once you stop your medication. Any sour taste in your mouth? Furthermore, those white spots may also occur if you have an infection; it is clear that's the case since you have soars in your mouth.

I'd assume the test was done right because bacteria infections tend to work fast and appear quick, most times within a week of exposure

I mean I have an inhaler for asthma but I have had it my entire life.

I just can’t figure out what it could be. I mean the exposure I had in July I didn’t even give oral to that women. I mean we did deep kiss but I don’t think you can spread gon or chlaymida that way.

The exposure I had back in late April I did give oral to the wife but that was like 160 days ago. So I would think an oral swab would show if it was from that.

Were you vaccinated for COVID during this time? Have you been vaccinated?

Yes I was but that was like when the first vaccine came our way back when. Nothing recently.

I literally had no symptoms and all my blood and urine test have come back negative.

Even that throat swab came back negative but for some reason I have a feeling like they some how didn’t get any of the bacteria when they did the throat swab. I don’t know how sensitive it is…like do they need to swab a lot or could a small amount be enough? Did they go back deep enough in my throat? Or like I said did somehow I test too early?

The swab procedure is quick, takes 2-seconds. If you're doubting and losing sleep over it, go for another test. On the contrary, you could interpret this experience as a wake up call for you, perhaps it's your body telling you that what you have been doing to it is reckless, and it needs to stop.

Three times a day, wash your mouth with warm salt water, keep this practice up for at least two weeks.

Ya it was def a wake up call for sure! I just hope it’s not too late and I didn’t catch something.

I would hope a throat swab after 60 days even if I had no symptoms would pick up something for gonerreha and chlaymida

my other question I forgot to ask is....Could I have passed oral Gonorrhea or Oral Chlamydia before testing positive for it?
