I believe the answer is (A)

The Asch experiment is a famous experiment in psychology from the 20th century which documents how there is a tendency in some people to conform their opinions to those of others even when they are clearly wrong. In the experiment, a test subject was asked along with seven actors to perform a series of “perceptual tasks,” but the test subject did not know the other participants were actors and was introduced to them as though they were genuine test subjects as well. The perceptual tasks were designed to be obvious enough that anyone could be expected to provide the correct answer. The seating was arranged so that the test subject would need to answer last. On the first two tasks, the actors provided the correct answer, and test subjects performed with near 100% accuracy. However, on the third, each of the actors provided a unanimous but clearly wrong answer, putting the onus on the test subject to disagree with the public consensus if they were to provide the correct answer.
