Ghulam cuts out a rectangle that has a perimeter of 38 inches and length of 15 inches. He cuts out another rectangle that is the same length and twice as wide. what is the perimeter of the new rectangle?

original length = 15
original perimeter  = 15 + 15 + 2 w = 38
2 w = 8
4 = 4
then
new w = 8
new perimeter = 15 + 15 + 8 + 8 = 46 !!!!!!
