Malik grills a steak  minutes longer than he grills a serving of fish. The fish takes twice as long as the asparagus to grill. Malik grills halved tomatoes for  minutes, which is  minute longer than he grills the asparagus.

Write an expression that represents the amount of time Malik grills the steak if the asparagus grills for x minutes.

The fish takes twice as long as the asparagus to grill, so it takes 2x minutes.

Malik grills the steak for x + 10 minutes (since he grills the steak minutes longer than the fish).

Therefore, an expression that represents the amount of time Malik grills the steak if the asparagus grills for x minutes is:

x + 10
