Hello! Can't believe no one answered this already

Monocot Stem:
The most commonly used stain for observing vascular bundles in monocot stems is the safranin stain. Safranin is a red-colored stain that is commonly used in plant histology to differentiate between different tissues. It stains lignified and suberized cell walls red, making it suitable for highlighting the vascular tissues in monocot stems.

Dicot Stem:
For dicot stems, a commonly used stain is the phloroglucinol-HCl stain. This stain reacts with lignin, which is abundant in the vascular tissues of dicot stems, and produces a reddish-brown color. Phloroglucinol-HCl stain helps in differentiating the vascular bundles in dicot stems.
