I perform trials comparing treatments and I run regression analyses with treatment fitted as a fixed effect. This generates p-values denoting similarity/difference between treatments for various outcomes which I input into a significance matrix (see image) to visualize every treatment comparison. Superscript letters are used to denote similarity/difference between every treatment; treatments sharing a letter are similar and those not sharing a letter are significantly different. I currently assign letters manually i.e. working it out in my head but this is tricky for studies with a large number of treatments. I have been looking for a way to automatically generate significance letters but I am finding it difficult, particularly as I do not have a coding background. Any ideas would be really appreciated.
