Hey, I need some help:D

I know that Corrosion is caused (or accelerated) by mechanical stress and acidic rain and contact with less active metals, how can I explain them? I don't really understand them O_o

Acidity is measured by its 'pH value', and anything that has a pH value lower than 7 quite often possesses more hydrogen ions. These hydrogen ions can interact with the outer electrons in the metal, inducing a chemical reaction.
