Review the many historical milestones associated with maternal and child health nursing.

a. What do you think is the most significant milestone that occurred?
b. Why do you think that the milestone you chose was the most significant? What makes this milestone more significant than another milestone?
c. How has that milestone affected the way maternal and child health nursing is practiced today?

For (b), you could include a description of the event in light of the time period, beliefs about maternal, child, and women’s health at that time, other events occurring before and after, along with a comparison of the chosen event with other events. For (c), you should include a comparison of the milestone with current practice, including similarities, differences, and what effect the milestone had on current practice. Not too sure of specific examples, not my particular field Undecided.
