i just want to know if my hard work is going to be worth it. am i wasting my money or do i have things to aspire to?

Ok, if you have studied chemistry in college
you are most likely to become a school teacher (chemistry teacher). If you don't want to be a school teacher, try for med school. A lot of people major in chem or bio to go for med school. A lot of pre med students major in chemistry. However it really depends on you.

you can make a methlab or a job with a big corporation like eli lilly or merck.
