What is the best home remedy to cure mouth ulcers?

Mouth ulcers suck!  I've had a lot of problems with them my whole life.

The foaming agent in most commercial toothpastes, like Crest and Colgate, are the aggravating cause in most ulcer cases.  This ingredient is sodium lauryl sulfate, so maybe in the future switch to a toothpaste without this ingredient.  Tom's of Maine makes some good ones that still whiten and clean your teeth really well.  This brand can be found in most stores that carry a wide variety of products or at specialty stores like Whole Foods.

A good home remedy for them is to stop eating acidic foods like pineapples and get rest, but there isn't an immediate treatment that can make them stop hurting.  However, there is this amazing product called Canker Cover that covers the ulcer, numbs it, and heals it.  It protects the ulcer from foods and braces/retainers.  How this help!
