Which one of the following statements about DNA replication in E. coli is correct?

1. RNA primers are necessary because DNA polymerase cannot start a new strand.
2. Only the lagging strand contains one or more RNA primer(s).
3. The lagging strand is lagging because it is on the slow side of the DNA.
4. DNA synthesis can only occur from an ori on one side of that ori.
5. Primers cannot be removed from newly synthesized nucleic acid strands if the cell lacks ligase.

only one of them is correct

1 is the only one that makes sense to me.
