a solution formed by mixing 16.0 mL of 0.300 M HBr with 29.0 mL of 0.600 M HCl

If you could show me step by step, that'd be great!
And please use proper significant figures.

Two strong acids.

1) Get moles of each:

HBr: (0.300 mol/L) (0.016 L) = 0.0048 mol
HCl: (0.600 mol/L) (0.029 L) = 0.0174 mol

2) add moles:

0.0048 + 0.0174 = 0.0222 mol

3) add volumes (this assumes the volumes are additive, which is a safe assumption):

0.016 + 0.029 = 0.045 mol

4) Determine molarity:

0.0222 mol / 0.045 L = 0.493 M

5) determine pH:

-log (0.493) = 0.307
