An outbreak of an unidentified bacteria has occurred in a remote village. You have been
selected to travel on the investigative medical team as the microbiologist. You are
allowed to take 80 pounds of equipment. Your plane can only carry 80 pounds of
equipment per person so going over the weight limit is not an option or your plane will
crash and everyone will surely die.

As the team microbiologist, you will need to figure out a way to sample victims, identify
microbes, and sterilize equipment as necessary in the field without access to a lab facility.
This means you will not have electricity. It is also important that you identify microbes
quickly because your team has only 2 weeks to deliver medical care to the village. You
will need to decide what equipment to bring.

Here are your equipment options:
15 lb Microscope with solar light source (useable during daylight hours only).
25 lb Microscope with battery powered light source (useable during day or night hours).
5 lb Reagents for Gram stains, Acid-Fast Stains & Negative Stains
2 lb Microscope glass & immersion oil
5 lb test tubes and caps
2 lb Reference manuals for bacterial identification
10 lb Solar oven (heat adjustable 100-160°F)
   10 lb water sterilizer
1 lb chlorine water purification tablets
3 lb hand powered water pump
   40 lb autoclave
25 lb large battery powered incubator
10 lb 250ft of plastic sheet
2 lb 5 rolls duct tape
15 lb Personal protective equipment (masks, gloves, disposable gowns, shoe covers)
15 lb HEPA filter safety suit (with 4 batteries that can each be used once)
5 lb 1 gallon of distilled water
   25 lb water distillation equipment
5 lb 1 gallon 95% alcohol
10 lb 1 bunsen burner with propane fuel
1 lb titanium loops
10 lb stainless steel pans, trays and pots
2 lb plastic bottles and droppers
5 lb digital camera with 12 hr battery for taking pictures of microscope specimens
1 lb 1 box of sterile swabs
10 lb powdered agar (just add water to make 500 agar plates)
2 lb disposable plastic petri plates
5 lb antibiotic testing equipment to determine what antibiotics work against samples

What equipment did you use and why?
How will you identify organisms?
How will you protect yourself and sterilize the equipment before leaving the
field?

I keep over-thinking the equipment I think, I am considering  the non indented ones, but I have 4 lbs left over, I hate to miss something important, any assistance would be highly appreciated
