Question pertains to Pearson biologylabsonline homework.
Assignment is to cross a wild male X brown eye, dumpy wing female.
The F1 results were as follows:
100% wild F1 phenotype, autosomal results.

Backcrossed a F1 male to a P1 female.
F2 Results were:
1:1 ratio of wild phenotypes to brown eye, dumpy wing. There were no flys showing wild eyes, dumpy wings or brown eyes with wild wings.

Now, going back to the P generation. If we do a reciprocal cross the F1 results are same but the F2 results are a 1:1:1:1 ratio of wild, brown eye wild wing, wild eye dumpy wing and brown eye dumpy wing.

Why is the reciprocal cross showing different results?
