If the question involves 2 sides and 2 angles, you use law of sines. If the question involves 3 sides and 1 angle, you use law of cosines.

If you have 2 angles (you can calculate the third one) and one side, then use the sine law in order to find the other two sides.

If you have one angle and two sides, then use the cos law in order to find the third side.
