Jargon is like lingo. Genetic jargon is the words geneticists use when they talk about genetics.

A genetic cross just means taking genes from daddy and genes from mommy to make baby. A test cross crosses a homozygous recessive to the test organism to determine the genotype of the test.

A "jargon" is a language limited to certain specialized areas, used by people who are familiar with it.  Genetic jargon includes words like "homozygous,""dihybrid," sex-linked," etc.

A genetic cross is the mixing of genetic material between two organisms.  You are considered a genetic cross because you are the result of combining the genetic material of your parents.
