Briefly describe some of the steps involved in caring for a person with Alzheime

1) Patients should feel secure in their homes by being occupied with everyday tasks of living.  2) Provide labels for everyday objects, calendars, and lists along with oral reminders.  3) Clothing should be simple with few zippers and buttons, and should be laid out for the patient.  4) Bathing is kept on a schedule.  5) Prevent Alzheimer’s patients from driving.  6) Monitor the patient’s use of the phone so they are not victimized.  7) Provide opportunities for daily exercise.  8) Caregivers need to take time off and seek support.  9) Seek help from the Alzheimer’s Association
