I got the answer of 58 and 1/3 cups of water. I don't understand how that is wrong. Pleas help!

if saline solution is salt water then do it like this:

7cups salt x 100 cups of solution/ 12 cups salt =58.3 cups

you solution will be 58.3 cups, now subtract the salt from that and you get 51.3 cups of water you must add
i think you got mixed up with solution vs solvent. when you're talking about the percentage, it means that out of the entire solution (water + salt), 12% of it is salt.
