Calculate the mass of water produced when 6.11 g of butane reacts with excess oxygen. Express your answer to three digits and include the appropriate units.

C4H10 +(13/2)O2---------> 4CO2+5H2O

ACCORDING TO BALANCED EQUATION

58.12g/mole of butane gives 5*18=90g of H2O

so 6.11g of butane gives=? grams of H2O

=(6.11*90)/58.12=9.46g of H2O.
