What special term is used for a woman who is heterozygous for a sex-linked trait which she does not express herself?

Colour blindness is a sex-linked trait.  A woman whose father is colour-blind marries a normal man.

What is the chance that a first-born son will be colour-blind?

The woman is a carrier.

They have a 1/2 chance of getting a colour-blind first-born son, but no chances of getting a first-born daughter who is colour-blind: since the father has normal vision, and colour-blindness is a recessive trait, the daughter will not be colour-blind, but a carrier.
