What are the type of questions on the MCAT? Are all conceptual based on readings or calculations too?

I was wondering if it is comparable to a Chemistry class, for example (tedious calculations, formulas, etc.).  Do questions require formulas to use and are these formulas provided or expected to be known?

I am mainly wondering about General Chemistry and Physics.  These two subjects have so many formulas and different types of problems to solve so I was interested in knowing whether or not the MCAT tests those type of calculations.
