Where would you expect to find more polymorphic regions, in coding or non-coding regions of the genome? explain?

i know that they are regions that do not code for the production of protein and hence, no phenotypic differences are observed. These regions are called polymorphic.

but where would i find more polymorphic regions  in coding and non-coding regions of the genome?
