i need to know how to find, fix, diagnose, predict, or etc. the mutation

I don't understand it at all OR is there a resource on where I could find this information?

PCR is a way to clone a section of DNA. I don't know anything about the KRAS2 mutation but this is what you can do:

Design primers on chromosome 12 that are on either side of the mutation site and do a PCR on a DNA sample.

So now you need to see if that piece of DNA amplified will be in the spot has the mutation or not. If the mutation causes an increase of bases or deletion of bases then you can look at the size of the piece amplified. If the mutation is a base pair change then you can do an Enzyme Digest (there are tons of different kinds) on the DNA that would cut only if there is a mutation or if there isn't a mutation.
