- Says I have to solve the equation by using the Principle of Zero Products, and if the equation can't be solved by factoring, I should say so.

1. 4x²-x- 42 =0


2. 2y²-4y-48 =0


3. 3x²-4x-7 =0


4. 9x²-25 =0

Yes, I need an example to know how to factor them. I just don't know how to factor with a co-efficient in front of the "x²".

i think u have to use the quadratic equation since the numbers are in y=aX^2+bX+c
the quadratic formula=

X=-b+/-square root of b square- 4ac over(divided) by 2a
 
or u could factor them
