In the fruit fly(Drosophila) the allele for dumpy wings,d, is recessive to normal allele for long wings,D.The allele for white eyes, r, is recessive to the normal allele for red eyes,R. In a cross between a purebred, long wings fly that is heterozygous for wing shape with white eyes, use Punnett square to show expected genotype offspring! What are the possible phenotypes of the offspring? In what ratio are they expected to occur?

There is an error in this question. A purebreeding organism always passes on the same phenotypic traits so by definition *must* be homozygous. Your fly can not be both purebreeding and heterozygous for wing shape.

Nevertheless, lets just ignore the word 'purebreeding'.
A fly that has white eyes and is het for the wing shape will have a genotype: Ddrr.

See attached image for Punnett square. Possible phenotypes are long wings/white eyes: dumpy wings/white eyes = 3:1
