Work done by a potential difference = change in KE = 0.5*m*v^2

m is the mass of the proton = 1.67*10^-27 kg

but W = q*dV = KE

KE = 1.6*10^-19*1 = 1.6*10^-19 J =

since 1 J = 1eV/(1.6*10^-19 )

KE = 1.6*10^-19/(1.6*10^-19) = 1 eV

So the answer is 1.00 eV
