I'm not really understanding how stoichiometry works, can someone possibly show me in a more simpler way?. Oh so my lab report is asking me to identify the limiting reactant when 1.22g of O2 reacts with 1.05g of H2 to produce water. Can someone please help me?

2H2 + O2 -> 2H2O

You can identify the limiting reactant by calculating moles

moles of Oxygen  1.22/ 32 = 0.038125 moles
moles of Hydrogen 1.05/2 = 0.525 moles
according to the equation, the moles of hydrogen must be twice the moles of oxygen, as we can see, the moles of hydrogen is larger than the moles we need ( 0.525 > 0.038125x2), so the limiting reactant will be oxygen, and the excess reactant is hydrogen
