lets's suppose that lexie's age is X. One-third of lexie's age is 4 years more than one-fifth of this age, so we can make an equation:
"(1/3) X - 4 = (1/5) X, and then we get X= 30(by multiplying 15 both side of equation, we get 5X - 60 = 3X, so 2X = 60) Lexie is 30 years old.  His sister is 5 years younger, so she is 25.
