If a neuron undershoots below -70mV after K+ channels close, then how would the Na/K pump raise the charge back to -70mV? If the pump works by pumping out 3 sodium ions and bringing in 2 potassium ions into the membrane, wouldn't that make the membrane potential more negative?

The cell pumps out 3 sodium ions and 2 potassium ions.

This makes the inside of the cell less positive, more negative.
