I was wondering how to solve equations when it looks like this:

6(x+4) = 3x - 2

I want to know all the steps to solve this problem

Multiply the bracket out:  6x + 24 = 3x - 2
Put the x terms on the left, the others on the right:  6x - 3x = -24 - 2
So 3x = -26
x = -26/3

=6x+24=3x-2
6x-3x=-24-2
3x=-26
x=-26/3
