1.   The scene is organized with great depth and distance, filling foreground, mid-range, and far distant spaces.
2.   A high vantage point places the viewer above a wide expanse of scenery, filled from edge to edge in the foreground with human activity that also gives a sense of scale to the surrounding water and mountains. 
3.   Gradations of light and color from dark greens in the foreground, to tans and blue-greys in the middle distance, to light blues and bright whites defining the snow fields in the peaks of the far distance draw the eye through the scene, higher and higher into unlimited space.
