1 -- If the purpose of a genetic test was for newborn screening and the result is negative, this means that the newborn is not expected to be tested for the condition and no follow-up is needed. There is no information provided to indicate what manifestations are present. The test results indicate the baby does not have a genetic disorder. There is no way to predict the baby’s future health status.
