DPIP (a blue dye) Frowning Face, do I blank?
-It replaces NADPH in experiment .
-It should turn blue to colorless when reduced in photsynthesis.
-When oxidized it is blue

Also , what is a blank exactly and it's purpose in a biology experiment, I want to make sure I understand the science behind it. I searched google, but nothing.

A blank is a tube which contains only the solvent (without the dissolved molecules). It is used as a reference point. Essentially, the “blank” tube contains everything except the molecule you want to measure. For example, it is your control in that is does not contain the variable you are testing (i.e. a chemical).

For example, if you are testing out enzymes, you blank would contain only the enzyme without the substrate that changes colour when added to the enzyme.

Provide me a little more detail about your lab, or even post the protocol. I need a little more info. gamingwings. I've done this lab before I think Grinning Face.
