What volume of a bacterial culture would you have to add to 60mL of diluent to make a 1/15 dilution?

Please show how you got it to because I can't figure it out. The answer is supposed to be 4.3mL

60 / 14 = 4.3

You already have 60 mL so you have to account for the amount you are adding.

If you have 9 mL of water and you want to dissolve a 1x conc. solution ten times then you mix 9mL + 1mL = 10 mL (with 1mL original solution = 10% of the original conc.)
