The stress relaxation behavior of a particular grade of polymer under constant strain is given by the following expression:

T(t)= Gyoe-t/A + To

Where G is constant, yo is the initial strain imposed on the polymer, To is the residue stress that is related to yo in the form of To=yo2, and A si the relaxation time.

a) What is the relaxation modulus of the polymer?
b) What are the initial and final stresses?
c) Given that G=0.8 MPa and yo=0.15, calculate the percentage of the original stress that has decayed when t=A
d) It has been found that the above model a better than the Maxwell model to describe the stress of the polymer, especially at long times. Why?
