Here's the formula I am given......

Fraction 1: weight: X
        GC ratio: A hex : A hep
Fraction 2: weight Y
        GC ratio: B hex : B hep
Fraction 3: weight: Z
        GC ratio: C hex : C hep

Ahex = area hexane/ area hexane + area heptane
Ahep = area heptane/area hexane + area heptane

Solve for weight of hexane:
 Mass hexane = A hex * X + B hex * Y + C hex * Z
 Mass heptane = A hep * X + B hex * Y + C hex * Z

Solve for % hexane and % heptane:
%hexane = mass hexane / mass hexane + mass heptane
% heptane = mass heptane / mass hexane + mass heptane

My weights are, Fraction 1 is 4.47g, Fraction 2 is 4.7g, and Fraction 3 is 4.24g  and I have no idea how to set this problem up even with the formulas given  Crying Face
Also I am not sure what GC ratio means but I have percent composition estimated from a graph and found that to be 52% hexane and 48% heptane, if that is GC ratio or not I don't  know
